The quality and competence of a university is measured by its approach to the library, the central unit of that university. Our university attaches great importance to the development of libraries in Farabi Campus and other campuses in order to increase the intellectual power and culture of our students and to enable them to grow up as free-thinking, researching and creative people. Our libraries are enriched both in terms of scientific resources and as an ideal working environment for our students.

Located on the Farabi Campus, put into service at full capacity on March 2, 2013, and today there are more than 150,000 printed and approximately 6 million electronic resources, Prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library is the heart of ZBEÜ with its modern design and international standards, serving 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library is one of the few university libraries serving 24/7. Consisting of personnel offices, group and quiet study rooms, magazine section, archives and warehouses, the average monthly number of users varies between 100 and 120 thousand. There are 4 computers for catalog browsing and 36 computers with internet connection for users. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library also offers wireless internet connection and daily newspaper service to users.

According to the mission of our library; It meets the information needs of users in line with the requirements of the age, ensuring that the targeted education level is reached and research activities carried out in parallel with the studies carried out in our university, and that the information produced in printed and electronic media is delivered to its users by means of information technologies, by observing professional ethical values. In order to increase the printed resources in terms of quality and quantity, new printed resources are purchased within the scope of continuous collection development studies.

New electronic resources are purchased in line with user expectations. In addition, access to the Hiperkitap database, Turkey's first and only Turkish e-book database, was provided. As of June 2018, the number of our e-resources has reached 5,613,612. All these resources are listed in many sub-disciplines from business to psychology, from education to librarianship. All of these resources can be accessed via the library's web page. Our university, which is one of the deep-rooted universities of the Western Black Sea Region, is on the way to become one of the qualified university libraries in Turkey by improving its library services.
