Since 2003, LLP/ Erasmus program of which the activities carried out under the Department of International Relations has been conducted under the Students and Faculty Exchange Program since 2010. Since January 2015, it has been continuing to operate as Erasmus+ Program Coordinatorship in the Unit of Foreign Affairs General Coordinatorship. Bulent Ecevit University received Erasmus Charter in 2004 and the unit carries out the exchange program under the European Union Education and Youth Programs. Student and academic member exchanges in Erasmus Program are carried out by bilateral agreements between European Union member countries and Institutions of Higher Education.In the new process of Erasmus program, Student Internship Mobility offers students to complete their internship. Academic Member Training Mobility offers the administrative staff training at partner institutions.
The unit contributes to the internationalization of Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University not only by executing Erasmus+ Program also strengthening international partnerships and establishing new collaborations.
Internationalisation at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, which takes internationalization in education among its main goals, is a center of attraction preferred by international students. The occupancy rate of our international student quotas, which receive record applications every year, is close to 100%. Our University, which has nearly 2500 international students, accepts students from 80 countries.
Our University, which makes effective use of the Erasmus+ exchange program, has signed 184 Erasmus+ agreements with 20 European countries and offers its students and staff opportunities to develop international exchange opportunities, joint projects and academic activities. Within the scope of Erasmus+ KA171 projects, our departments also carry out student and staff mobility with non-European countries.
In addition, our students have the opportunity to benefit from internship exchange organizations thanks to the IAESTE program, also known as the International Association for the Exchange of Technical Trainee Students, while thanks to the FREEMOVER program, they have the opportunity to study at a university abroad for an academic term or a year without any bilateral cooperation protocol.

Within the framework of these agreements, cooperation is made in many areas such as realizing the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students and academic staff, conducting joint congresses, conferences and academic activities, developing creative strategies in curriculum development, and sharing printed and electronic resources.
In addition, the international cooperation network is being expanded by increasing the number of cooperation agreements signed with universities in many countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, China, Uruguay and Colombia.
